August 18, 2008
For Immediate Release:
A Delta Air Lines technical flight from Salt Lake City (SLC) will arrive at Canadian Rockies International Airport (YXC) on Tuesday August 19, 2008.
The historic first flight between Delta’s western hub and the newly-expanded Canadian Rockies International Airport is designed to test and enhance aviation logistics and protocols as a prelude to scheduled service beginning December 17, 2008.
Flight paths and approaches will be video taped and analyzed to form the basis of simulator visuals and additional pilot training.
The tech flight will leave Salt Lake City at approximately 9:30 AM, landing at YXC at approximately 11:30 AM, local time.
Media representatives will have the opportunity to photograph the SkyWest CRJ 200 aircraft in Delta livery for one hour, as well as interview members of the Fly YXC Committee. Contacts from Delta and SkyWest will be available by phone for contact on additional questions.
Be a part of this historic Cranbrook Day. See you there!
