Why Fly YXC?

One stop service to most major cities in the United States

Fly YXC Society

The FLY YXC Alliance - a public/private marketing committee - has been working together since 2006 towards the common goal of attracting new air service to the region. A strategic marketing plan has been developed and commissioned, with key steps underway, some of which are already coming to fruition.

In 2007 the Committee hired air service consultant Mr. Kent Myers, President of Air Planners, to assist in attracting a brand name US carrier from a major US hub to our region. With the help of Mr. Myers, the Committee made presentations and engaged in discussions with some of the top major US carriers.  On July 23, 2008, the FlyYXC Alliance Society and Delta Air Lines announced new service between Canadian Rockies International Airport (YXC), in Cranbrook and Delta's western hub at Salt Lake City (SLC).

The first season of service ran December 17, 2008 to March 29, 2009.  The second (summer) season runs June 20 to September 5, 2009.  The Board of Directors is currently working on a five year plan.  See "Schedules" for flight information.

The Committee, along with Laurie Reed, Coordinator, Air Partner Programs, continues to work on promotion of the new service.
